The Distributed Data Processing Centre (DDPC) provides one of two science ground segments (SGSs) for the LISA mission (the other being the NASA Science Ground Segment, NSGS). The LISA Science Team and the SGSs are responsible for processing and making available all data collected by LISA. Ireland is an official member of the DDPC, and researchers in Ireland are able to participate in DDPC activities.
As of May 2025, researchers based in many European countries as well as Canada and New Zealand contribute to the DDPC. Irish contributions are currently to the Coordination Unit (CU) on waveform modelling and the CU on simulation.
